Sunday afternoon in Athlone

Sunday afternoon in Athlone - after mass and lunch at the Hudson Bay Hotel... What could we do?? Chill out in Mitchell's living room, go Pitch & Putt? No, we - Kitty, Paul and myself - decide to go to the Pet Farm. We don't know what an ostrich and an emu looks like from up close and apparently they have some there. Well, the emu look quite vicious and the ostrich is big. We kept our distance. Who knows what they are up to! But there are plenty of other animals to keep us interested - goose, goats, vietnamese belly pigs, donkeys, peackocks, puppies - you name it. However we too sticked out. As the only group wondering around without small children. But who says Pet Farms are only for the little ones!
